Women's soccer announces first 2019 recruiting commitment

OAKVILLE, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins women's soccer team announced today the commitment of centre-back Nevada Feasby (Georgetown, Ont.), their first commit in the 2019 recruiting class

"Nevada is an exceptionally talented player with excellent vision and game sense. She will solidify our back line and become the anchor of our defence," head coach Paul Angelini said. "Her leadership skills are equally impressive and the coaching staff expects her to assume leadership responsibilities immediately."

A member of the Rush Soccer Academy and the team at Georgetown District High School, Feasby has picked up accolades at both the club and high school level. In 2017, her Georgetown team rallied from 3-1 down with 20 minutes remaining to claim the Halton Junior Girls soccer title, and recently, her Rush U18 team advanced to the semifinals of the Ontario Indoor Cup.

She will add even more potency and depth to a Bruin defence that includes includes several returning starters, including 2018 All-Star goalkeeper Savanna Wood. Feasby has accepted an offer to Sheridan's Educational Support program, located at the Trafalgar Campus in Oakville.
