OAKVILLE, Ont. - After a stellar season debut that saw her score a pair of goals in each of the first two games for the Sheridan Bruins women's soccer team (2-0-0 OCAA), forward Zoe Derkach (Brampton, Ont.) was named one of the OCAA's Weekly Stars.

Derkach saw her first action in Double Blue during last year's winter indoor campaign and displayed strong finishing ability at the top of the Sheridan formation.

Those skills are clearly showing early in the outdoor season, as her four-goal tally through two games already matches the team-lead from a season ago, and the team's total of nine goals is more than halfway towards the entire 2017 season output of 17.

The Bruins are on the road again this week, travelling to Conestoga on Sept. 13 and they will play their first contest on home turf next Wednesday (Sept. 19) when they host George Brown (4:30pm).
