Trio of second half goals lifts men's soccer past UTM

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - After an unremarkable opening 45 minutes, the Sheridan Bruins men's soccer team (3-0-2 OCAA) scored three times after the break to claim a 3-1 win over UTM.

"We were sloppy in the first half," head coach Andrew Seuradge said. "We definitely pulled it together in the second, but we're still not quite being as sharp as we want to be for as long as we want to be. We're halfway through the season now, it's very important for us to be putting together 90 minute efforts."

Francis Ameyaw opened the scoring for the Double Blue, three minutes into the second half and was a key factor in setting up the second goal, after he was taken down in the area.

Manuel Morgado was clinical from the spot on the ensuing penalty, scoring what would prove to be the game-winning goal.

Michael Krzeminski rounded out the scoring for the Bruins and opened his Sheridan account, cleaning up the rebound after Rahim Thorpe was denied on his attempt.

It's a quick turnaround for Sheridan, hosting Conestoga on Sept. 29 (3:30pm).
