Cross country posts a pair of 5th place finishes

LONDON, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins cross country teams opened their season competing in a deep Fanshawe Invitational and emerged with positive results, as both the men's and women's teams notched fifth place finishes.

The men's team compiled 60 points and were within striking distance of both Fanshawe and Mohawk, who placed second and third respectively with 51 points, and were a hair behind Humber for fourth (58 points).

All four runners scoring for the Bruins were in the top 20, with Cole Bond coming in seventh, followed by Andrew Convery (16th), Matthew Reeve (18th), and Cameron Ross (19th).

On the women's side, the Bruins' 79 points was the result of a seventh place showing from Olivia Sidock, followed by Marla Brown (17th), Erin Kinninmont (24th), and Yonta Gillespie (31st).
