OAKVILLE, Ont. - The Sheridan Athletics and Recreation department announced today their annual awards, highlighted by the Athletes of the Year - Dylan Periana (men's basketball), Paul Williams (men's basketball) and Kendra Challis (women's soccer) - and the Academic/Athletic Achivement Award - Brian Owusu (men's basketball) and Viktoria VanZanten (women's soccer).
It was also announced that the Most Valuable Player award for the men's basketball team would now be known as the Leroy Cassanova Award, in honour of Cassanova's commitment to Sheridan basketball that is nearing its 40th year.
