Men's soccer plays to another stalemate with George Brown

OAKVILLE, Ont. - There were four more goals than in their first meeting two weeks ago, but the Sheridan Bruins men's soccer team (2-0-2 OCAA) ended up playing to second tie (2-2) in as many weeks with George Brown.

"It's just one of those things where if you don't take care of your chances, and you don't play with a certain intensity for a full 90 minutes, it tends to catch up with you," head coach Andrew Seuradge said. "I think that was definitely the case tonight. We let some good scoring chances slip away, and we had too many moments where weren't fully locked-in mentally."

The Double Blue struck first in the 19th minute, with Francis Ameyaw crossing a ball in off the right wing where Cyrus Rollocks smashed home the rebound after the first attempt was flicked right on target.

Eight minutes later the Bruins had doubled their advantage. Sundin Esperance played a ball from the left side to the top of the area where Manuel Morgado won it in the air for Rollocks, who then laid it off back to Morgado for the left-footed finish.

George Brown pulled one back in the 34th minute - ending Sheridan's clean sheet streak at 304 minutes - and pulled level in the 60th minute.

Sheridan will travel to UTM for the road leg of the Region of Peel derby on Sept. 26.
