General Policy
At Sheridan Bruins sporting events and facilities, the safety, privacy, and enjoyment of our athletes, staff, and fans are of utmost importance. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, the following guidelines regarding photography and videography are in place:
Professional Photography and Videography
- Media Credentials Requirement: Professional photography and videography are strictly prohibited unless the individual has been granted official media credentials by the Sheridan Bruins Athletic Department.
- Application for Credentials: Media professionals must apply for and obtain credentials at least one week prior to the event. Applications can be submitted by contacting the Athletic Department Marketing and Information Coordinator, Caitlin M. Terry, at caitlin.martinterry@sheridancollege.ca directly.
- Display of Credentials: Approved media personnel must display their credentials at all times while on site. Failure to do so may result in removal from the premises.
Designated Areas: Media personnel with credentials are required to remain in designated areas for photographers and videographers. As such, all media personnel must remain beyond the sidelines at all times for shooting purposes. They must not block the score table, broadcasters, officials, or be on the home/away teams side. This ensures safety and minimizes disruptions to the event.

- Fan Photography and Videography: Fans are welcome to take non-professional photos and videos using their smartphones for personal use. However, the use of tripods, monopods, or any camera/video/audio equipment is not allowed in the stands or common
areas. - Respect for Privacy: Fans must respect the privacy and comfort of others. Taking photos or videos in restricted areas, locker rooms, or private spaces is strictly prohibited.
- Disruptions: Any fan activities that are disruptive to the event or other spectators will be addressed by event staff, and individuals may be asked to stop filming or photographing.

Student Media

- Sheridan College students enrolled in Broadcasting, Journalism, Photography, Film and TV, Media Fundamentals, or other related programs must also adhere to the above policies and guidelines.
- If attending a Sheridan College sporting event to complete a course assignment or add to their student portfolio, students must contact the Athletic Department Marketing and Information Coordinator, Caitlin M. Terry, at least 72 hours prior to game time.

Enforcement

- Event Staff Authority: Sheridan Bruins event staff and security personnel have the authority to enforce this policy. Individuals found in violation may be asked to leave the premises immediately.
- Revocation of Credentials: Media credentials can be revoked at any time if the holder is found to be in violation of the policy or causing disruption.
