OAKVILLE, Ont. - There isn't likely to be much drama for the Sheridan Bruins women's soccer team (9-3-3) in OCAA indoor regional play Friday, with a spot in the OCAA Championship already secured after Canadore and St. Lawrence Brockville dropped out of the competition.

That leaves the Bruins and Mohawk to play one contest to determine who goes through as Group E winner and who will be the runner up. 

"I think it's good and bad, to be honest," head coach Paul Angelini said. "I understand it would be a hard sell to say it's a disadvantage to have guaranteed entry into the championship, but we will also have played only one game in nearly six weeks. That means we're going to have to work really hard in practice leading up, to make sure we're as sharp as possible and ready to answer the bell."

Ten schools will advance to the OCAA title tournament - hosted by Redeemer March 22-24 - with two five-team groups being drawn randomly to slot pool winners and runners-up. 

The Double Blue got off to a hot start in their indoor campaign, winning their first two tournaments hosted by Centennial and Conestoga, before being knocked out in the quarter-finals in the Redeemer tournament and the semi finals in the Sheridan Invitational.
