Taylor Ley named OCAA women's volleyball All-Star

SCARBOROUGH, Ont. - After a season in which she posted the fifth highest point total in the league and led the team in points, kills, and blocks, fourth year middle Taylor Ley (Orillia, ON) was named an OCAA All-Star.

"Taylor was fantastic for us this season," head coach Scott Hunt said. "She really developed into an aggressive, fearless player this year. She led us offensively with her ability to score points in many ways. She is very deserving of this award as one of the top middle blockers in the league."

Ley posted 227 points on the season, notching 151 kills (2.4/set) while hitting at a .366 rate, and chipping in with 32 aces, and a single-season team record 44 blocks.

Across the board she was more prolific - increasing from 129 points, 80 kills, and 23 blocks - and more efficient - increasing her hitting percentage from .210 to .366 - than in her first season in Double Blue last year.
