Lady Bruins continue adding to 2016-17 recruiting class

OAKVILLE, Ont. — The Sheridan Bruins women's volleyball team continue to add to their 2016-17 roster, announcing the commitment of libero Sydney Romans.

"I am thrilled to continue my volleyball career as a Bruin and I'm excited to take my skills to this level," Romans said. "I chose Sheridan because I have heard such positive things about the programs and atmosphere. When I came to watch one of the games, I was impressed with the way the team worked together which influenced my decision as well."

A five-year veteran of the Guelph Grizzlies club program, Romans was the MVP of her Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute team and was also named a District 10 All-Star.

"We're really excited to have Sydney join our program," added head coach Scott Hunt. "She is a very hard worker and has a great attitude. She is a perfect fit for us and will help raise the level of play in our gym immediately."

Romans has accepted an offer to the Child and Youth Care program at the Trafalgar Campus in Oakville.
