Libero most recent addition to 2016-17 class

OAKVILLE, Ont. — With the start of training camps a little more than two and a half months away, the Sheridan Bruins women's volleyball team continued to add to their 2016-17 roster, announcing today the commitment of libero Brenna McArthur.

"We're really excited to have Brenna join our program," head coach Scott Hunt said. "She played on the top club team in Ontario this season and knows how to compete day in and day out. Being exposed to that level of play every day in practice brings the best out of you and I know Brenna will help raise the compete level in our gym on a regular basis."

"I chose Sheridan because it's close to home and both of my parents went here," added McArthur. "The GAS program offered me the potential to get into other programs for future. From a volleyball standpoint, I had heard from other people that the coaching was strong and I enjoyed being coached by Scott at a high school clinic he came in for."

In addition her familial links to the Double-Blue, McArthur also played for Sheridan assistant coach Kevin Houldcroft at Craig Kielburger SS in Milton.

A six-year veteran of the club system, McArthur joined the Pakmen this season, winning the 18U provincial championship, while also notching an 18U national silver medal.

She is enrolled in the General Arts and Science program at the Davis Campus in Brampton.
