VAUGHAN, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins women's soccer team (6-1-0 OCAA) dropped points for the first time this season after a 2-0 loss to Humber. 

"We definitely had our share of good moments tonight, but ultimately couldn't string together enough to get over the top," head coach Paul Angelini said. "We managed to swing the momentum in our favour early in the second half, but they got a second goal against the run of play and that deflated us a bit. Still, I'm really proud of the way we picked ourselves up and continued to battle after that."

Humber's Rebecca Spratt opened the scoring in the ninth minute, fighting through traffic to get the definitive touch on a rebound near the top of the area. 

The Bruins steadied themselves by the interval and in the second half began making inroads towards the equalizer, but couldn't quite string together a successful attack. 

Giulia Zanardi doubled the Humber advantage just after the hour. Both teams put six attempts on target, with the homeside having a slight edge in overall shots, 10-7. 

Sheridan will look to re-group when they host a Cambrian side that has played a lot of tight games recently, with a trio of one-goal victories and a tie sandwiched around a loss to Humber.
