KITCHENER, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins women's soccer team (3-0-0 OCAA) picked up their third straight victory and second consecutive clean sheet, blanking Conestoga 2-0. 

Zoe Derkach, fresh off being named one of the OCAA Stars of the Week, notched her team and Central Division-leading fifth goal, while Kendra Challis scored her first of the campaign.

Savanna Wood posted her second shutout of the season, and made a critical save on a penalty kick in the game's final 20 minutes that could have dramatically swung momentum in favour of the home side. She turned aside all seven shots she faced and has now stopped 15-of-16 shots this season. 

After a compacted schedule that saw them hit the road for three games in a six-day stretch, the club will get a bit of a reprieve now with six days until they host George Brown on Sept. 19 (4:30pm).
