OAKVILLE, Ont. -- The Sheridan Bruins women's soccer team (2-0-1 OCAA) found the back of the net four times in an 11-minute stretch during the game's opening half hour, cruising to a 7-0 win over UTM. 

"It's always a tough game playing a team who's in a building stage, it's only their second year in the league, but we know it's only a matter of time before they're much stronger," head coach Paul Angelini said. "The key for us is to encourage the players to move the ball and not to develop any habits that may come back to bite us later." 

Viktoria Vanzanten scored the first three for the Double-Blue, capping the hat trick with a conversion from the penalty spot after she was hauled down prior to putting away her third into an open net. 

By the time she departed the game in the second half, Vanzanten had scored five times.

Kendra Cooper added a brace, the first of which made her the first player in team history to hit the 20 career goal mark. 

After playing three times in the span of seven days, the club now has a few days to prepare for a trip to Niagara on Sunday, September 25. 

Angelini says that rest will be the most important aspect after a busy stretch, but does see some other areas where the team needs to get some work in. 

"We'll have to review our free kicks and our set plays," he said. "That's the one area where we really didn't execute as well as we would have liked, so we'll re-visit those and go from there."
