Cross Country rounding into form

NORTH YORK, Ont. -- Two weeks away from the OCAA Championship, the Sheridan Bruins cross country teams appear to be rounding into form after the men's team posted a sixth place finish, while the women finished 10th on the same course where the championship will be held.

"We've been doing some good work and it's starting to show in the results," head coach Danny Webster said. "There's still a lot to do, but I feel like we've been trending in the right direction all year and have no reason to believe that won't continue."

Brendan Saunders was the top finisher for the men, finishing 35th in a time of 31:01, while Alex Ball (31:16), Andrew Convery (31:37) and Matt Reeves (31:39) also had their times count towards the team total.

Erin Kinninmont (24:39) was the top finisher for the women placing 24th overall, followed by Lexy Pakenham-Troth (27:01), Monique Parlevliet (27:01) and Dani Casas (27:38).

The teams have another tune-up run on October 22 at Brock, before returning to Seneca for the Ontario Championship on October 29.
