Regular season for men's volleyball ends with loss to Conestoga

KITCHENER, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins men's volleyball team (9-12, 7-11 OCAA) suffered a 3-0 (26-24, 25-13, 25-17) loss to Conestoga to close out the regular season.

In an opening set where they produced 12 kills on 28 attacks with eight errors, they were edged out by the home side who put down 15 balls on 36 attacks with only six errors.

Sheridan was unable to match that level in either of the next two sets, with Conestoga converting 18 of 39 attacks with only five errors in sets two and three, while the Bruins had 15 kills and 15 errors in the same span.

Andrew Cianci scored 10 points to extend his streak of posting double-digit point totals to three-straight, and has been in double figures in six of nine second half matches.

They will hit the road with a chance to earn a spot in the OCAA Championship at Humber, but must go through La Cite (15-3 OCAA), the second place team in the East Division to do so.
