Men's volleyball add another piece to recruiting class

OAKVILLE, Ont. -- The Sheridan Bruins men's volleyball team continue adding to their 2017-18 roster, announcing today the commitment of outside hitter Tavion Reid.

"We're really excited to have Tavion joining our program," head coach Frank Pento said. "His natural athletic ability is something that can't be taught and we really think he can develop into a serious weapon for us."

"The volleyball program at Sheridan has been really competitive in the past few years and I would like to contribute my efforts towards bringing a championship back to Sheridan," added Reid. "Sheridan is also close to home for me and they highly value the academic part of the student-athlete life. I know Coach wants all of his student-athletes to work hard in the classroom and compete the same way on the court, and that's what I plan on doing."

Reid has been a key contributor to his team at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Secondary School and will enrol in the Bachelor of Business Administration - Marketing Management program at Sheridan.
