Butchereit and Adams named OCAA All-Stars

HAMILTON, Ont. - First year libero Liam Butchereit and fourth year middle Chris Adams were named OCAA West All-Stars during the pre-OCAA Championship banquet. 

Butchereit - who was also named to the OCAA All-Rookie team and was the OCAA West Rookie of the Year - played in all 18 matches as a freshman and led the league in both digs (190) and digs per set (2.84). 

He topped the total digs category by a wide margin, with 31 more than his closest competitor.

Adams was third on the team in both points per set (2.1) and total points (136).

He hit at an efficient .353 and his 136 points came on 93 kills, 36 blocks and seven aces.

The Double-Blue will take on the host school from Mohawk in the OCAA quarter-final at 8pm.
