Men's soccer on to OCAA Championship after topping Group D

VAUGHAN, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins men's soccer (11-1-4, 3-0-1 OCAA) secured a spot in the OCAA Championship, after winning Group D with a 3-0-1 record.

"I thought we pretty played well today, but we still clearly have some things to work on," head coach Andrew Seuradge said. "We had too many passive moments and in this format if you don't maintain a controlled aggression throughout, it can come back to bite you."

The Double Blue picked up wins over Lakehead-Orillia, Laurier-Brantford, and St. Clair, before capping their day with a 1-1 draw against Centennial.

They will return to the OSA Centre for the OCAA Championship hosted by Humber March 21 and 22, with Group play on day one. They will be drawn into a pool with one other group winner, along with two runners-up.

Centennial also advanced out of Group D, while Humber and Mohawk (Group A), UTM and George Brown (Group B), and Fanshawe and Conestoga (Group C), will round out the rest of the field.
