CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI - The Sheridan Bruins men's soccer team (8-1-5 OCAA) is set for the national championship and will square-off against PacWest champions Capilano (8-2-2 PacWest) in the quarter-final on Wednesday.

"We've had a really good week of training," head coach Andrew Seuradge said. "We didn't always have the best weather when we practiced, but the boys were focused."

The Capilano University Blues come into the CCAA Championship on a five-match winning streak, including a 2-1 win over Langara in the PacWest title game. They scored 36 goals while conceding a league-best 14.

"There's always a little bit of mystery when you get to a national championship," Seuradge said. "But from what we've seen, Capilano is a really organized side and can make you pay if you make a mistake. All year long we've been striving to have 90-minute effort, with three-phase execution, and we'll definitely need that on Wednesday."

The Blues produced three of the top-five goal scorers in the PacWest, led by scoring champion Keith Jackson (13 goals), and followed by Adrian Sahagun (nine goals) and Patrick Izett (six goals). Sahagun also led the league with three assists, while also notching four game-winning goals.

Hudson Nelles played every minute of every game in the Capilano net, leading the PacWest in goals against average (1.17) and save percentage (.774), while posting six clean sheets.

Capilano is one of the most decorated programs in the country, now with 17 provincial titles to go along with six Canadian championships on their resume.

Blue notes: Sheridan-Capilano is not the only OCAA-PacWest meeting on the national championship docket, as champion Humber will take on B.C. runner up Langara.
