NORTH YORK, Ont. - After a regular season that saw them go unbeaten, the Sheridan Bruins men's soccer team (6-0-5 OCAA) picked up a number of individual accolades during the OCAA Championship banquet, as goalkeeper Chester Ashby, midfielder Manuel Morgado, and forward Cyrus Rollocks were all named Central Division All-Stars.
Ashby posted a league-best 0.67 goals against average, had an .833 save percentage, and posted four clean sheets. He was the last line of defence for a squad that was tied for the fewest goals conceded - allowing just seven through 10 games - a feat that earned them the nod as Central Division Best Defensive team.
Morgado was a work horse all season, patrolling the midfield to help the Bruins maintain possession, while also being the trigger-man to many attacks. Along the way, he potted a four goals.
Rollocks, who was also named the Central Division Rookie of the Year, was one of the key pieces in a balanced Double Blue attacked, finishing the year with five goals.
Head coach Andrew Seuradage was also the recipient of an award, being named Central Division Coach of the Year.
