OAKVILLE, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins men's soccer team (15-3-3, 2-0-1 OCAA) is looking to end a four-year medal drought when play begins in the OCAA Indoor Soccer Championship Thursday.

"We've been pretty solid so far this season," head coach Andrew Seuradge said. "We've had our ups and downs and we've toyed around with some different lineups, so I'm hoping we come out ready to play Thursday morning."

The Bruins open group play Thursday morning at Redeemer with a showdown against their rivals from Humber before closing out day one versus Fanshawe.

Sheridan will complete the group stage Friday, with contests against St. Clair and Seneca.

Only the top two teams will advance to the medal round, with a pair of 1 vs. 2 semi finals taking place Saturday morning before the medal games in the afternoon.

Conestoga, Durham, George Brown, Redeemer, and UTM comprise the other group.

The four-year stretch where the Double Blue have failed to advance out of group play follows a five-year run where they medalled in each, with a pair of titles to go along with two silver and one bronze.

Coincidentally it also coincides with the period where the Championship shifted from the OSA Centre to Redeemer.
