Men's soccer can't solve George Brown in Redeemer tournament

ANCASTER, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins men's soccer team (10-2-1) tasted defeat for the first time during their 2018 indoor campaign, falling twice - including in the championship match - against George Brown in the Royal Cup hosted by Redeemer.

The day opened for the Bruins with a 3-2 loss to their outdoor Central Division rivals but a scoreless draw against Laurier Brantford was enough to advance into the knockout stage.

They defeated Fanshawe (2-1 in the quarter-final) and Centennial (3-2 in the semi final) to set up a re-match against George Brown in the final.

Things would not go the way of the Double Blue though, suffering a 2-0 defeat.

The Bruins have one more tune-up remaining before OCAA regional play, hosting the Sheridan Invitational on Feb. 17.
