Bruins set for indoor regional play

OAKVILLE, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins men's soccer team (13-3-1) opens official OCAA play Friday, looking to book one of two spots in the OCAA Championship out of Group E pool play.

"We've had a solid indoor season so far," head coach Andrew Seuradge said. "We won our first two tournaments and then came up a little short in the next two, but we've been able to spread around our playing time. We play a unique style indoor, so the most important part has always been to get as many of the boys comfortable with the system as possible. I think we've been able to do that."

The Bruins were drawn into a group with Durham - OCAA champions during the fall outdoor campaign - along with Mohawk and Canadore.

Seneca will host the regional championship with the top two teams gaining entry to the OCAA Championship hosted by Redeemer March 22-24.

Sheridan picked up wins in each of their first two tournaments - defeating Guelph in the final at Centennial, and the hosts in the final of the Conestoga tournament - before narrow defeats in the final of their next two tournaments.

Friday, March 9
