OAKVILLE, Ont. -- In the home leg of their season series against Niagara, the Sheridan Bruins men's soccer team (3-3-2 OCAA) produce a remarkably similar result, playing to a 1-1 draw. 

"It seems like we have these slow starts, but our guys still seem to find a way to get things going by the end," head coach Andrew Seuradge said. "A tie is not a bad result for us, but it could have been better."

Although the game would remain scoreless at the interval, both sides each had their share of chances in the opening 45 minutes.

The Double-Blue actually found the net in the opening minute, but saw it called back due to a foul.

Niagara would also have a goal waved off due to an infraction, after an offside call.

Both sides would hit find the woodwork with a strike as well.

Niagara's Andrew Currie would open the scoring in the 61st minute, while Sheldon Rodgers would equalize 18 minutes later.

Sheridan and Niagara now sit level at 11 points apiece, with the Bruins having two games remaining, while the Knights only have one.

The Double-Blue will wrap up their home schedule on October 15 when they welcome in their rivals from Humber and between now and then Seuradge says the team has a clear focus of what they need to do on the practice pitch.

"We're going to have to work on some set pieces," he said. "It just seems that a lot of times our games against Humber do and we need to be prepared."
