Second half rally falls short for men's soccer

OAKVILLE, Ont. (October 1) -- After falling behind by a pair of goals within the game's first half hour and after trailing by the three at the half, the Sheridan Bruins men's soccer team (3-2-1 OCAA) nearly managed to climb all the way back over the final 31 minutes, but came up just short in a 3-2 loss to George Brown.

After first half goals from Shaquille Agard and a brace from Jesse Oliver, George Brown was put under far greater pressure in the second half.

The Bruins finally broke through just prior to the hour mark with a penalty shot conversion from Nicolas Mejia.

Mejia would score again in the 80th minute, to give the game's final moments an added sense of drama, but the Double-Blue were unable to get any closer.

They now travel to face a Humber side on October 4 that has yet to drop a point in six contests thus far and has only conceded two goals.
