Galipo, Hylton-Hastings, Tota, and Yhip named OCAA All-Stars

OAKVILLE, Ont. - Four members of the Sheridan Bruins men's rugby team (4-3 OCAA) were honoured for their strong play this season, as Michael Galipo, Tristian Hylton-Hastings, Justin Tota, and Adam Yhip were named OCAA All-Stars.

After missing much of the 2017 campaign due to injury, Galipo was a force for the Bruins in 2018. He spent much of the year as an 8-man, but also had other spells along the front line as Sheridan struggled to field a consistent lineup week-to-week.

Meanwhile this is now two straight All-Star nods for Hylton-Hastings and Tota, the two-leading scorers for the Double Blue. Hylton-Hastings flashed brilliant speed on multiple occassions, using his wheels to either flip territory or to score, touching down seven tries.

His scoring haul was second only to Tota, who scored eight majors, and booted 12 converts and one penalty to sit third in league scoring, while equalling Jad Hamade's single-season record of 67 points.

Rounding out the All-Stars was Yhip, who was the heart and soul of the Bruin pack, while also fulfilling captain duties after the season-ending injury suffered by Hamade in the season opener.
