OAKVILLE, Ont. -- After a spectacular second half performance where he scored two tries, kicked three converts and set a new team record for points in a game with 16, first year scrum half Owen Schimpl was named OCAA men's rugby athlete of the week. 

His 16 points is the third highest single game total posted by any OCAA player thus far this season. 

"Owen is a first year player who was highly recruited to attend Sheridan," head coach Carlos Moniz said. "He has played extremely well in our first two games of the year and has has become a leader on our team. Owen is a very talented rugby player and is a large asset for Sheridan."

After playing twice within a five-day stretch, the team now has a bit of a break before hosting Mohawk during Sheridan Homecoming on October 1.
