WELLAND, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team (17-4, 8-3 OCAA) struggled to match the offensive output of Niagara and saw the game slip away in the final seven minutes of a 110-95 defeat that snapped their five-game winning streak.

"It's amazing to say when you consider our per-game average is one of the highest in the country, but sometimes we really struggle to score," head coach Jim Flack said. "Niagara made big shot after big shot, and they earned the win tonight from start to finish."

Despite an off-shooting night throughout, the Bruins found themselves within one - down 80-79 - with 7:38 remaining. But some timely shooting - 5-9 from 3-point range over the final 7:02 - powered the home side, as they closed the game on a 30-16 run.

Jemol Edwards scored a game and season-high 32 points and Keenan Danso-Dapaah notched his second double-double of the campaign with 13 points and 16 rebounds, while Nick Campbell and Romar Subban were both in double figures with 12 points. 

The result drops the Bruins into third in the OCAA West at the midway point, and they could slide to fourth depending on the outcome of the Redeemer/Lambton contest on Dec. 7.  

They will break for exams but still have a busy December with trips to Villa Maria (Dec. 19 and 20) and George Brown (Dec. 28 and 29) for a pair of tournaments.
