KITCHENER, Ont. - After a tight opening 20 minutes, the Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team (17-3, 8-2 OCAA) out-scored Conestoga 54-37 in the second half to pick up a 96-77 victory. 

The Double Blue ran out to a nine-point advantage (22-13) in the opening frame, but went scoreless over the final 3:06 as Conestoga pulled to win two. On three occasions in the second quarter Sheridan had built a six-point edge, but each time the home side scored on their ensuing possession to stay within reach, although the Bruins were still in front, 42-40, at halftime. 

The lead swelled to 10 (59-49) midway through the third period, but the Condors answered with a 7-0 run to climb within three. Ultimately that would be as close as they would get, as the depth of Sheridan wore Conestoga down in the fourth quarter and they were able to gap out. All five starters from the home side logged at least 30 minutes, while there were only four Bruins to play at least 20 minutes, with Nick Campbell the only one that was over the 30-minute mark. 

Jemol Edwards scored a team-high 22 points, with Campbell (20), Keenan Danso-Dapaah (14), and Kahleek Bakari-Whyte (10) also in double figures.

The Double Blue will close out the first half with a trip to Niagara (7-3) on Dec. 6. 

Blue notes: Campbell has now scored at least 20 points in six straight and in seven of the Bruins' nine OCAA West contests. He's shot .544/.481/.757, while also hauling down 7.8 rebounds, dishing out 3.4 assists, and picking up 2.8 steals in that span.
