Nick Campbell named OCAA men's basketball All-Star

WELLAND, Ont. - After a season in which he led the Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team (27-6, 17-4 OCAA) in scoring - averaging 19.3 points per game - third year guard Nick Campbell (Brampton, Ont.) was named an OCAA All-Star.

"Nick has been tremendous this year," head coach Jim Flack said. "He's been a threat offensively and a force defensively for us. I'm very happy and proud that he's receiving this recognition."

Campbell's 19.3 points a night was the third highest single-season scoringtotal posted a Bruin in the last decade, following Ostap Choliy (20.6 points per game) last season and Khalid Abdel-Gabar (20.4 points per game) in 2011-12.

While his scoring average was good for 11th in the OCAA, Campbell did so in just 22.3 minutes per game, the lowest average playing time among any of the top 25 league scorers.

If extrapolated over an entire game, his 34.5 points per 40 minutes would be the high mark in the league.

In his two seasons in Double Blue, Campbell has scored 545 points, a per game average of 15.1.
