Men's basketball get back on winning track

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - After dropping back-to-back games for the first time since March 2016, the Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team (24-6, 14-4 OCAA) got back on the winning track with a 124-88 triumph over UTM.

"The physical effort was there tonight," head coach Jim Flack said. "If we can cut out the mental mistakes, I'm comfortable with how we can do in the post-season. But we'll need 100 per cent buy-in."

The Bruins held slim leads through the first two quarters, up 26-19 after one and 52-44 at the break.

Sheridan blew the game wide open in the third though, putting up 41 points in the frame to lead 93-69 entering the fourth.

The Double Blue have a pair of games remaining, hosting St. Clair on Feb. 18 (3pm) before closing out the regular season on Feb. 21 with a trip to Fanshawe.
