ANCASTER, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team (24-3, 9-0 OCAA) saw Redeemer get off to a quick start in the first quarter - connecting on 50 per cent of their attempts from the field, including four from beyond the arc - but were able to battle back and walked away with a 95-73 triumph. 

"In the end, our depth was the difference," head coach Jim Flack said. "And on top of that, Paul Williams going for a big double-double makes us very tough to beat." 

On the strength of their early shooting, Redeemer led 27-17 at the end of one, but the Double-Blue would have an answer in the second quarter, holding them to 12 points and taking a 41-39 lead into the break. 

Sheridan limited Redeemer to only four made buckets in the third quarter as they began to build a lead they would not relinquish. 

Paul Williams led the way with 22 points and 22 boards, while Dylan Periana (21), Brian Owusu (17) and Navdeep Deol (17) were also in double figures for the Bruins.

The team now has 10 days to prepare for a trip to Mohawk on January 25.
