BRAMPTON, Ont. -- After struggling to find their offensive rhythm in the first half, the Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team (10-2, 2-0 OCAA) exploded for 41 third quarter points on their way to a 110-78 win over Redeemer. 

"The score is not indicative of Redeemer's team," head coach Jim Flack said. "We just really hit our stride tonight."

Keyed by some strong perimeter shooting, Redeemer scored 29 first quarter points and led 29-21 after one.

The Bruins cranked up the defensive intensity in the second though, limiting Redeemer to just two points on their way to a 36-31 halftime lead.

The 41 third quarter points scored by the Double-Blue is the most they've put up in one period all season, featured a 16-0 run midway through and was keyed largely by their pressure defence which forced 30 Redeemer turnovers on the night.

In the second half the Bruins shot 53.1 per cent from the floor, 42.9 per cent from the three-point line and 81.3 per cent from the charity stripe. 

Five Bruins were in double figures, led by Ostap Choily (22) and followed by Brian Owusu (17), Dylan Periana (17), Jamar Parkinson (14) and Denzil Abrams (10).

Paul Williams had a game-high 17 boards while Tremain Anderson hauled down 12. 

They will hit the road for their first conference away game when they travel to Fanshawe on October 29.
