Men's basketball sweep way to Wayne Allison Fall Showdown title

BRAMPTON, Ont. -- The Wayne Allison Fall Showdown was won by the Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team (8-2), as the Double-Blue notched a perfect tournament, going 4-0 and keeping their opponents frustrated with pressure defense and hot shooting.

Wins over Candadore (88-65), La Cite (95-74), and Georgian (96-52) lead to a rematch with Canadore in the final.  The Bruins notched the championship with an 83-58 blowout.

For their efforts, Dylan Periana and Ostap Choily were named all-stars, and centre Paul Williams was given the MVP.

The Bruins are next in action on Friday, October 21st when they host the Niagara Knights at 8:00pm.  The game will be held at the Davis Campus Gymnasium.
