Men's basketball pick up win over Guelph

GUELPH, Ont. -- Less than 24 hours after celebrating two of architects of Bruin basketball during Sheridan's Homecoming, the Sheridan Bruins men's basketball (1-0) went on the road for their first tune-up game, emerging with a 94-80 win over Guelph.

"We rebounded well, but got kind of lucky when Guelph missed some open looks," head coach Jim Flack said.

The Double-Blue had a 43-31 advantage on the glass, with Paul Williams leading the way with 16, while five Bruins hit double figures, led by Brian Owusu with 18.

The team travels to Montreal next weekend for the annual Dawson tournament.
