Women's Rugby heading into final Regular Season Tournament

Oakville, Ont - As we approach midterm season and the cooler weather begins to set in, the Women's Rugby season reaches it's final few games. On October 5th & 6th, the ladies played in a two-day annual East and West coast crossover tournament, where they played two games on Saturday in Peterborough against the Durham Lords (6-2), and the Loyalist Lancers (3-5). Then on Sunday the team played three games against the St. Lawrence Vikings (3-5), Algonquin Thunder (6-2), and the Fleming Knights (4-4).

Overall the lady Bruins put in exceptional efforts, working together to move the play up the field with the goal of gaining yards, and creating potential point opportunities. Unfortunately, the ladies fell short in the tournament with close game loses, but were still able to learn, grow, and develop as a dynamic team.

To finish off the season the lady Bruins will be playing in their last tournament hosted by the Seneca. The tournament will consist of three games on Saturday the 19th ; with the first game against the Humber Hawks (10-1) at 10:30am, second game against the Conestoga Condors (1-10) at 11:30am, then to finish off, the ladies will play Seneca Sting (8-3) at 1:30pm.

So, come out the Saturday leading into reading week in your double blue, to help support your lady Bruins as they close off the season in a three-game tournament at Seneca, Newnham campus.
