TORONTO - Sheridan College's Jevontae Layne (Brampton, Ont.) is the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Men's Soccer Player of the Year.

The second-year forward scored eight times in six matches during the regular season, helping lead Sheridan to an undefeated season and a South Division Championship. Layne was ranked second in overall scoring this season and is the South Division Scoring Champion. Along with being named South Division Player of the Year, Layne is a Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Canadian and an OCAA All-Star.

Jaedyn Bell Saunders (Brampton, Ont) was a nominee for the OCAA Rookie of the Year award and was named South Division Rookie of the Year.

Sheridan's Andrew Seuradge is the OCAA Coach of the Year and a nominee for CCAA Coach of the Year. The South Division Coach of the Year led his Sheridan squad to a regular season championship, outscoring opponents 22-9 en route to a 5-0-1 record. Sheridan also earned honours as the Best Defensive Team in the division. 

Several Sheridan Bruins were also named to the South Divsion OCAA All-Stars team; Francis Ameyaw (Brampton, Ont.), Anthony Wright (Brampton, Ont.) and Jevontae Layne (Brampton, Ont) of Sheridan.
