New Women's Cross Country Head Coach

The Sheridan Bruins Welcome Kenya Small as the new Women's Cross Country Head Coach!

We are thrilled to announce Kenya Small as the new head coach of the Sheridan Bruins Women's Cross Country team. With a remarkable track record in coaching and a deep passion for both athletics and academic growth, Small is set to lead our cross-country program to new heights.

Small's extensive experience in coaching and his commitment to student-athlete development make him a perfect fit for our team. Small holds a master's in exercise physiology from Mississippi State University. Continually, he competed for five years on Mississippi State's track team, where he was a three-time 1st team all SEC, a 2018 Penn Relay champion, and a two-time top 5 track athlete at the Canadian National Championships.

His approach to coaching goes beyond the racetrack; he focuses on cultivating well-rounded individuals who excel on and off the field. With a strong emphasis on teamwork and perseverance, Small instills values that align perfectly with the Sheridan Bruins' athletic ethos.

He previously excelled as the assistant coach for the Bruins women's cross-country team and is now taking over as head coach, where he will continue to foster a culture of academic and athletic excellence. Small says of this upcoming season, "I'm very excited to take over the head coaching position at Sheridan. We have a real opportunity to get into both the OCCA and CCAA podiums this year and in the future."

Please join us in giving Kenya Small a warm welcome as the new head coach of the Sheridan Bruins Women's Cross Country team. We are excited to see the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on our athletes and the program.

Congratulations Kenya, let's go Bruins!
