Women's soccer bounce back with win over UTM

OAKVILLE, Ont. - Three days after coming up short against Cambrian, the Sheridan Bruins women's soccer team (3-2 OCAA) got back in the win column with a 3-0 victory over UTM.

"I thought we had some good moments in our build up, but were just lacking a touch or two when we got the ball into dangerous areas," head coach Paul Angelini said. "Moving forward, we need to do a better job of capitalizing on those opportunities, or it will come back to bite us."

Laura Ozoria got the Bruins on the board in the 23rd minute, and the scoreline would remain that way at the half.

Five minutes after the start of the second half, the Sheridan advantage had tripled, with goals from Cassidy Chantler (49th minute) and Connie Drennan (50th minute).

The club will host Division-leading Humber as part of Sheridan Homecoming on Sept. 30 (1:30pm).
