Archer, Jordan named OCAA All-Stars

OAKVILLE, Ont. - Two members of the Sheridan Bruins women's rugby team (4-10 OCAA) were honoured for their strong seasons, as Kirsten Archer (Orillia, Ont.) and Taylor Jordan (Waterloo, Ont.) have been named OCAA All-Stars.

Marred by injuries in 2017, it was a bounce-back year for Archer who returned to the high level she displayed in a 2016 freshman campaign when she was named the team's MVP. The heart and soul of the Sheridan pack, Archer also chipped in with a pair of tries.

Jordan, meanwhile, was all over the pitch in 2018. She was a tackling machine and the second-leading scorer for the Bruins, touching down six tries, while connecting on two converts.

The Bruins will return to their home field to take on Loyalist in the OCAA quarter-final on Nov. 2 (10:30am).

Archer and Jordan both played pivotal roles in one of the signature moments of the season, with the former forcing a Conestoga turnover under the shadow of the Sheridan posts and juking a defender, before passing to Jordan who took it the distance.
