MARKHAM, Ont. - Although they were competitive in all four, the Sheridan Bruins women's rugby team (3-6-1 OCAA) posted a 1-3 mark in their third matchday of the season, losing ground on an OCAA Championship spot with two game days remaining.
The Bruins opened with a 24-7 loss at the hands of Seneca, before bouncing back with a 26-17 triumph over St. Lawrence.
They closed out the day with losses to Algonquin (27-12) and Conestoga (24-15).
OCAA women's rugby is on a bye for Thanksgiving weekend, before play resumes at Fleming - who also hosts the Championship - on Oct. 15.
The Double-Blue will take on Mohawk, Fleming, and St. Lawrence in the penultimate match day of the OCAA season.
