OAKVILLE, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins women's rugby team (4-11-1 OCAA) came into their final matchday of the season needing to produce at least two wins in order to keep their championship hopes alive.
And even though they were close - holding second half leads in their final two games of the day - they suffered losses in all three games.
Their day began against league-leading Humber, where the Double-Blue was on the wrong side of a 47-0 scoreline.
In their final two games they were up in the second of each, but conceded tries in the final minutes to suffer heartbreakers to Loyalist (17-14), and Conestoga (19-12).
