BRAMPTON, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins women's basketball team (11-14, 9-10 OCAA) struggled to get anything going offensively - connecting on less than a quarter of their field goal attempts and less than half of their free throws - in a 62-42 loss to St. Clair.

"I think this one might just be one to discard and move on from," head coach Willie Delas said. "We struggled in a lot of areas today. I don't think its reflective of who we are as a team though. We've got one more game to make sure we're running smoothly heading into the playoffs, so we'll get right back to work."

St. Clair led 17-10 after one and ran their advantage to 10 - 33-23 - at the break.

The Bruins - who connected on nine of 40 attempts from the floor in the first half - continued to struggle in the second half, and saw the lead get away from them.

The Bruins are all but locked into the sixth spot in the OCAA West, with a trip to the East Division's third place team in a championship qualifier looming.

Currently St. Lawrence Kingston (9-7 OCAA) occupies the third spot, but are being pursued by Durham (8-8 OCAA), each with one game remaining.

Sheridan will wrap up the regular season with a trip to Fanshawe on Feb. 21.
