Women's basketball extend conference winning streak to 4

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - It has been a season of streaks for the Sheridan Bruins women's basketball team (9-9, 7-5 OCAA) and that continued on their longest road trip of the season, picking up a pair of wins over Sault to run their winning streak in league play to four games.

They held Sault to combined 58 points in the two contests, and won the pair by an average margin of 49 after a winning 78-26 and 78-32.

The Bruins will take their four-game winning streak into Humber (13-0) on Jan. 25 to square off against the division leaders, and head coach Willie Delas says he's interested to see how his team's improved play stacks up against the OCAA's best.

"We're feeling pretty good and have some positive momentum behind us," he said. "We know they're the measuring stick and the class of our division. I really don't think we gave them our best performance in November, but we've grown and improved since then. I'm eager to see how we respond to the challenge."
