BARRIE, Ont. - For a second straight year, fifth year middle Chris Adams (Caledon, ON) and second year libero Liam Butchereit (Mississauga, ON) were named OCAA All-Stars.

Adams played in all 18 matches for the Double Blue posting the fourth highest point total for the club with 2.4 points per set.

"I'm very happy that he was able to receive this award in his last year," head coach Frank Pento said. "He's been a staple in the middle for our team for the last five years, so it's nice to see him go out with an award and some recognition."

Adams notched 109 kills, a team-high 37 blocks, and nine aces.

With the season on the line in the final two regular season contests plus a first round playoff match-up with George Brown, he upped his game, hitting double figures in all three, while averaging 3.8 points per set.

Butchereit, meanwhile, led the league in digs for a second straight season, upping his total from 190 last year to 238 this season.

"Liam has been a top defensive player in the league since he joined us last year," Pento said. "I'm really proud of him and what he was able to accomplished this season. He's the hardest worker on our team and it shows through his play and success on the court."

Averaging 3.45 digs per set tied Butchereit for the second highest rate in the country, and his 238 digs is the second highest OCAA single-season total since the it was first tracked in the 2007-07 season.
