Men's volleyball fall to division-leading Fanshawe

OAKVILLE, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins men's volleyball team (5-9 OCAA) dropped their fifth straight match to open the second half, falling in straight sets to the division leaders from Fanshawe.

Listless for much of the opening set, the Bruins spotted Fanshawe a 1-0 lead after dropping the opener 25-9.

They battled back were right there at 22-22 in the second set but a combination of errors and high execution from Fanshawe saw the visitors take the set 25-22.

Still reeling from that defeat, the Bruins couldn't get much going in the third and were closed out 25-11.

Sheridan sits in a three-way tie for sixth place with Mohawk and Conestoga, with an absolutely critical road trip to Mohawk looming on Jan. 31.

Blue notes: Three seniors - Bruno Leite, Flavio Polo, and Chris Adams - were recognized for their commitment to the program in their final home match of their careers.
