PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Playing for the first time in more than a month, the Sheridan Bruins men's volleyball team (5-4 OCAA) claimed the title in the Fleming Invitational with a 3-1 (21-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-22) win over Saint-Boniface in the championship match.

The Bruins book-ended the preliminary round of the tournament with a pair of contests against George Brown - who had split into two squads for the tournament - dropping the opener 3-1, before bouncing back with a 3-2 win.

They also downed La Cite 3-2 in the preliminary round.

Sheridan has a critical home stand when they resume OCAA West play on Jan. 13 and 14, hosting the two teams just beneath them in the standings, St. Clair and Niagara.
