Men's volleyball fall in five-setter to Humber

OAKVILLE, Ont. - For the second time in two weeks, the Sheridan Bruins men's volleyball team (2-3 OCAA) out-pointed their opposition over five sets, but came up on the wrong end of a 3-2 decision against Humber. 

The see-saw battle featured first (25-17) and third set (25-18) wins for the Bruins, while Humber claimed the second (25-20), fourth (25-23) and fifth sets (15-10).

Four Bruins scored in double figures, led by Andrew Cianci with 19 points (15 kills, three blocks, one ace), and followed by Andre Zopf (15 kills, one ace, one block), Michael Kong (11 kills), and Chris Adams (six kills, one ace, three blocks).

Ricky Davids posted a double-double with 41 assists and 10 digs, while for the second time in three matches Liam Butchereit established a new career high with a match-high 27 digs.

Sheridan will try to get on the winning track when they host Conestoga on Nov. 24 (8pm).
