MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - After dropping back-to-back games against Redeemer and Humber, the Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team (13-3, 4-2 OCAA) got back on track with a 110-89 win over UTM. 

"I'm very happy with our performance today. We just seemed more engaged in the game plan," head coach Jim Flack said. "Nick (Campbell) was his usual tough self, and Jemol (Edwards) was excellent at the point spot."

Sheridan led 29-18 after one and by as many as 17 in the second quarter, before the home side narrowed the gap to three late in the half. However, the Double Blue responded with a 9-0 run in the final minute to secure a 52-40 halftime edge. 

UTM chipped away at the margin once again in the third quarter, pulling to within five (63-58), but a 13-2 Sheridan run over the next 2:36 re-opened a double-digit lead they would not relinquish. 

Kahleek Bakare-Whyte scored a game-high 25 points while hauling down nine boards. Nick Campbell (22 points, nine rebounds, six assists), Jemol Edwards (19 points), and AJ Thompson (10 points) were all in double figures. 

The Bruins will return to the friendly confines of the Davis Campus gym to play host to Fanshawe on Nov. 16. 

Blue notes: Sheridan has topped the century mark in nine of their 16 games, including five of their six conference games. They are averaging 112.8 points per game in OCAA West play, and 95.3 overall.
